AFMA's members include 51 full members, 13 premix, 13 traders, 11 producers and suppliers of raw materials, 2 equipment suppliers and 1 lab services company. 

AFMA membership is voluntary and falls into the following categories:

• full membership for the manufacturers of balanced feeds, including full feeds, licks and concentrates.
• associate membership for the manufacturers of vitamin and mineral premixes for the feed industry.
• associate membership for traders.
• associate membership for raw material suppliers and producers.
• associate membership for equipment suppliers.
