AFMA AGM 2018 to be hosted in the friendly city

In-line with the AFMA tradition of rotating the hosting of its Annual General Meetings (AGM) between the provinces in South Africa, the AFMA Board has decided to host the AGM 2018 in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth on 6-7 September 2018 at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Information on the AGM will follow soon. It will be well communicated and can be followed on the AFMA AGM website.

AFMA decides to move AFMA Forum to 2020

The decision to postpone the AFMA Forum to March 2020 was made after careful consideration of a number of factors at a meeting held on 24 April 2018 by the AFMA Forum Organising Committee in conjunction with the AFMA Marketing and Promotion Committee. The AFMA Forum 2020 will now be hosted from 3-5 March 2020 at the new modernised Sun City Conference Centre.

The newly designed AFMA marketing brochure is not only available in hard copy, but can also be found in electronic format on the AFMA website.

The marketing brochure provides relevant information about AFMA in a nutshell, with special emphasis on member benefits and core value propositions.

6th GFFC 2019 to be hosted in Bangkok during March 2019

The 6th Global Feed and Food Congress 2019 will be hosted in Bangkok, Thailand during the week of 11-15 March. The GFFC is an initiative by the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) and the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the UN (FAO) supported by the hosting nation to introduce animal feed milling and world best practises to new regions across the globe. Coinciding with the GFFC, the International Feed Regulators Meeting (IFRM) will also be hosted. The IFRM is a high-level meeting and work sessions between the world’s feed regulators and industry on a wide variety of topics ranging from latest legislation, latest world best practices and burning global issues, and how different countries or regions handle this. AFMA, currently an IFIF Board member and one of the 5 IFIF Exco members, will be representing South Africa at these meetings and events.

World Nutrition Forum to be hosted in South Africa

The world renowned World Nutrition Forum (WNF) hosted by BIOMIN, one of the leading multinational role players in the area of research and supplying of ingredients to the animal feed industry, will be hosted  during the week of 1-5 October 2018 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The hosting of this forum is rotated around the world and South Africa was chosen to host WNF 2018.
