The AFMA Staff consists of the following individuals:

Executive Director

De Wet as Executive Officer takes the lead and responsibility for all executive and strategic decision making, management, implementations and control within all of the AFMA structures and functions.

DIRK KOK

Manager: Operational Services

Dirk as Manager: Operational Services is responsible for all operational matters which include Office Administration, IT and Finance.
Additional to his line function involving operational matters he also takes the lead on matters i.e. Skills Development & Training; Trade Committee matters and the SACOTA Secretariat.

LIESL BREYTENBACH

Manager: Technical & Regulatory Affairs
Professional Natural Scientist (Animal Science): 400044/07

Liesl is responsible for all technical and regulatory matters within AFMA and liaises with various Government departments and relevant industry groups on behalf of AFMA. The Feed Registration Service (FRS), SA feed legislation and the AFMA Code of Conduct receives primary focus, with additional support provided for AFMA events and the AFMA Matrix quarterly magazine. Liesl also represents AFMA on the Regulatory Committee of the International Feed Industry Federation.

WIMPIE GROENEWALD

Office Administrator

As Administrator: Office Administration, Wimpie is in most cases the first point of call in the AFMA Office, responsible for all Office Administration matters and arrangement of all official AFMA Committee and AFMA Board of Directors' meetings. Wimpie also acts as admin assistant to the Executive Director and Manager: Operational Services.

VACANT POSITION

Administrator: Technical Matters

This staff member is responsible for the coordination of all matters related to the Technical Committee and its sub-committees. This includes assistance with planning, communication and hosting of meetings and distribution of information and documentation to the members of the Technical Committee. This staff member also assists with the planning and logistics of the AFMA Forum, Symposium and Workshops – with special focus on the technical programme contributions for these events. The AFMA monitoring systems on salmonella, mycotoxins and dioxins are maintained and reports issued quarterly to the Technical Committee. All enquiries relating to technical matters and committee projects can be sent to this staff member.

MANDY JOUBERT

Accountant

Mandy is responsible for managing the accounts receivables and payables of AFMA and has all-rounded experience in administration, procurement, invoicing and wages.

Ronel Urquhart-Bosch

Graphic Designer & Webmaster (Consultant)

As freelance graphic and web designer, Ronel is responsible for all the print and digital visual communication within AFMA.

Jennifer Roets

JENNIFER ROETS

Marketing & Communications Officer (Consultant)

As freelance marketing & communications officer, Jennifer is responsible for internal and external communication between AFMA and its members and assists in maintaining the image of the Association. She also acts as the point of contact for members of the press and other media representatives.
