The regulator of animal feed and pet food in South Africa, in partnership with the Animal Feed Manufacturers Association (AFMA) and the Pet Food Industry association (PFI) hosted two consecutive full-day workshops on 3 & 4 September 2013 at the Saint George Hotel and Conference Centre, Pretoria. The objective of the workshop was to provide all the necessary information on how to successfully register or renew a Feed Additive and Premix under Act 36 of 1947; and to provide clarity on when a Feed Additive and Premix may be registered as a Farm Feed and when it may be registered as a Stock Remedy.
The 2-day workshop was well attended by more than 150 delegates, representing manufacturers, traders, distributors and consultants in the animal feed, additive, premix and animal health sectors.
